Vanshavali (hosted by the Kardam platform) is a community-driven digital initiative dedicated to preserving the genealogical heritage, ancestral roots, Gotra lineages, and cultural memory of the community across generations.
As families have dispersed from their ancestral villages to various cities, states, and countries globally, this platform bridges the generational distance—allowing youth and elders alike to discover their roots, understand relationships, and celebrate shared lineage.
A genealogy tree is an ever-living document. The lineages recorded here have been carefully compiled from family manuscripts (बही-खाता), elders' accounts, and community contributions.
We actively invite every family branch to help keep this record authentic and complete. If you notice any missing members, incomplete dates, or branches, you can submit updates directly through our Add Member & Correction Form.
The information contained on this website is for cultural, educational, historical, and familial reference only.
While diligent efforts are made to cross-reference records and maintain data integrity, errors, phonetic variations in transliteration, or unintentional omissions may occur. The platform administrators and contributors assume no liability for unintended inaccuracies.
We deeply respect the personal privacy and dignity of all family members.
To request a privacy adjustment or photo removal, please use the Correction & Privacy Request tab.
The custom visualisations, route algorithms, and platform codebase are powered by the Kardam open architecture. Family members are welcome to share exported tree images for personal, family, and non-commercial genealogical use.
Adding several children, spouses, or a whole new branch? Use our visual tree sandbox to add relatives with interactive buttons and export the tree image directly!
